This one is for Daniel Snyder, who will probably never fathom the beauty of his own intellect.
I just heard this rumor that Selita Ebanks and Nick Cannon broke their engagement. In case you don’t know, he’s a wannabe rapper/actor and she’s a new Victoria’s Secret model. Cute couple. I ran into them at this industry party last month and they looked genuinely happy. I even congratulated them and told Nick that he has – and I quote- “One hell of a woman.”
Now, if drop-dead gorgeous supermodels can’t keep it together, what chance do mortals like me have at relationships? I know, I know that famous people are usually 10x the crazy and their relationships never work but still. Damn.
Anyway this got me thinking. Beauty really doesn’t mean shit anymore. You can be the most attractive person in the world and even have a fabulous personality and still be unacceptable to the object of your affection. Because they might not find your body, your face or your soul beautiful. Love, to me, is this ridiculous game of chance.
It’s definitely chance for me. I find the most random people insanely beautiful. And I’m not that deep – it has a lot to do with the physical. But it’s certain physical attributes that run a bit deeper. I like a man with a vicious scowl, but a disarmingly playful grin. Broad shoulders that he can take on the world with, rough boxer hands that know how to be gentle, and brown eyes that he can speak to me with. That’s beautiful. Emotionally, I have one main requirement. Find me beautiful.

Good post Rajul. That is why technically there is no such thing as “beauty”. Beauty is defined by a person or a group of people who may differ from what everyone else thinks. Beauty should not be “perfection”, but just something genuine. The beauty is in the perfection…sometimes
