In All the Wrong Places

Ahh, Craigslist. It’s a great place to network on jobs, apartments and even a possible relationship, although that’s really not my thing. If I were to do the “courting over the internet” thing I would prefer the Mercedes of mating sites like Match.com or Nerve or what not…and this is why.

As I was searching listings for new apartments the other day, I came across an occassional ad of this nature:

“Free Rent for Submissive Female”

PLEASE DONT BOTHER ASKING ME 4 MY PICTURE OR MY # UNLESS YOU SEND YOURS FIRST!
JUST A FEW MINUTES FROM MANHATTAN!!!!! THIS IS PART OF A LARGE 1 FAMILY HOME U WILL HAVE UR OWN KITCHEN,LIVING RM,BED RM THE BATH RM WILL BE SHARED BY THE BOTH OF US,THIS HOME IS FULLY FURNISHED,AND

Although the bad grammar and the exclamation marks would have nauseated me by itself, I was officially disgusted. And a little violated. The audacity of it all! Yes, people like this exist, but isn’t it fair to ask them to keep it out of my apartment search?
