French Women Are On The Prowl

We’re running this because Gawker and the Huffington Post thought it was a good idea and they’re pretty smart. But it’s not really news. French women have always had style but now are starting to become more sexually A-G-G-R-E-S-S-I-V-E. Like as aggressive as the dudes. French women have twice as many sexual partners as they did in the 1970’s. It is only 34% likely that an adult woman will only have had one partner versus 68% in 1970.

French men, on the other hand, have stayed fairly comme ci comme ça in their sexual habits; their ‘number’ hasn’t changed in 30 some years. Is it possible that French men have grown bored (as they have a wont to do) with their reputation as primo lovers and lechers? Maybe French women have taken control of the country’s supply of je ne sais quoi and nonchalance. Maybe all those years of wearing banana hammocks, smoking cigarettes, not being invaded, and speaking French has worn the men down a bit. Or are women worldwide just becoming more sexually aggressive? They better get their acts together or some Italian dude is going to swoop in and steal Marion Cotillard. Until then, we’ll be enjoying our freedom fries and really thin pancakes, just in case.
