In response to a rapidly rising divorce rate, Britain will host its first-ever divorce fair, says The Telegraph. Couples will have access to lawyers, financial advisers, and self-help experts.
What are people thinking? Here’s my guess: Those who aren’t anywhere close to divorce probably think it’s a silly idea, a marketing tool, a way to squeeze more money out of people. Those who are thinking about splitting are probably looking for the sign-up sheet.
Austria held a similar event last year attracted about 500 visitors and 20 exhibitors. Britain’s fair, called The Starting Over Show, is planned for October, and 20 groups have already signed on.
