Beckham To Date Beckinsale?

This should not stand. Evidently, Kate Beckinsale, who in no way closely resembles Evangeline Lilly, thinks that when her daughter is to date, it will not be with a bloke like Blake Fielder-Civil, but a proper young gentleman like Brooklyn Beckham, per Female First. Yes, Posh and David Beckham named their son after New York’s hipsterest borrough (that might not be true). Then again, baseball player Chipper Jones named his son Shea because he likes New York’s Shea Stadium (which is due to be torn down this winter).

Brooklyn Beckham is 9, as is Beckinsale’s daughter Lily. Normally we’d rail against this intrusion into the love lives of 3rd graders, but kids are growing up fast these days and they need a little direction. It’s not really up to the children of celebrities who they cavort with, this generation of celebutantes have proved time and time again that they’re not up to the task. They’re new royalty and as such should expect things like official appearance, noblesse oblige, and arranged marriages. We’d just a little surprised that one of the Beckham children hasn’t been promised to Suri Cruise.
