Tila Tequila: Gay Savior?

Gay couples can officially marry in the state of California starting Tuesday and there’s so many people to thank for this monumental carriage of justice: the California Supreme Court judges who struck down the anti-gay rights decision; Republican Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, who has promised not to veto; the activists who worked tirelessly over the decades; and…Tila Tequila?

Yep, in her mind, the bikini-clad D-list actress with a bisexual dating show opened people’s minds to same-sex attraction. PerezHilton.com, the eponymous celebrity gossip blogger, courtesy of Us Weekly, reports that Tila said:

“It is because of me — I definitely think [my show] has helped the movement. Before it came out, everyone was still a little apprehensive about [same sex relationships]. Then they realized, ‘Wow, everyone is really into this stuff, and it is fine.’ The next thing you know, [gay marriage] is legal.“

We think Perez Hilton often has some pretty hateful and misogynistic things to say about women. We still think that, but today we actually agree with him on something: Tila, just shut up.
