The popular Canadian actor married this American gal in Canada.

Stealthy. The LA Times is reporting that Dish favorite, Ryan Reynolds, married some woman over the weekend. The woman, also an actress, is named Scarlett Johansson. The 2 had been dating since early 2007 and had been engaged since May of this year.
The wedding, evidently, was a bit of a surprise for the media, though probably not for the couple. The ceremony took place at a resort outside of Vancouver in Reynolds’ native Canada. While answering questions about love, life, and relationships, Johansson took what appeared to be a shot at Tango’s Jenny Block (or possibly Dan Eldridge), “I’ve always been in monogamous relationships. I would never want to be in an open one. It’d be too awful.” Diff’rent strokes, sweet cheeks.
While researching this Scarlett Johansson we discovered why we weren’t familiar with her work. It turns out that all of her movies, it turns out they’re either period pieces or take place in another country:
Foreign Setting: Lost In Translation, Scoop, Match Point, and Vicky Christina Barcelona.
Period Pieces: The Black Dahlia and A Love Song For Bobby Long.
Both: The Prestige, A Good Woman, Girl With A Pearl Earring, and The Other Boleyn Girl.
That leaves only The Island, In Good Company, The Nanny Diaries, and The Perfect Score as domestic, contemporary films she’s starred in. Are we seriously expected to watch those? Kudos for her work on Seth Green’s Robot Chicken, however.
Reynolds, despite being a Canuck, has headlined no less than 9 modern-era films set in America in that same time period. Sure, some of them were straight to DVD joints and he really only had to play himself (though we cannot pick out any trace of a Canadian accent) but it’s the effort, man. We wish them the best of luck, but would it be so hard for him to convert to American and for her to make a few decent pictures with an American setting? We heard her brother is working on the Obama campaign, so we hope that this foreign-streak doesn’t come back and bite anyone on the derriere. For some reason Obama actually mentioned her on this weekend’s SNL presidential debate:
I’m guessing the bitterness comes from the rejection letters you got from PerezHilton.com and TMZ. Humor is in the eye of the beholder, and apparently you have cataracts.
This makes no sense. Never heard of her? Period pieces or foreign country?? Either this is a supremely bad joke or you are so out of touch. Either way, get rid of this writer and get someone who knows about celebrities to write about celebrities.
