Obama Marriage Earns Praise

The Huffington Post today published an article applauding Barack and Michelle Obama’s marriage. In the article, entitled The Obama Relationship: A Major Benefit Nobody’s Talking About, the marriage between Michelle and Barack is dissected and praised, while other past white house marriages are criticized harshly.

“If we elect Barack Obama we are electing a new possibility in our relationship lives as a nation: respect, affection and authenticity. Michelle and Barack speak clearly and openly. You know she won’t bullshit you or embarrass you by playing the demure little wife. We’re ready to see that kind of relationship, and we hope you are, too.”

HuffPo targeted the equality and vitality of the Obama bond as being exceptional to the Reagan, Kennedy, Bush, Clinton, and McCain marriages. The article also focuses intently on the differences between Michelle Obama and the first ladies of the past. (And of course, the potential one of the future.)

HuffPo is gung-ho for Michelle being the new leading lady in office and hopes that everyone will understand the influence a healthy, loving, equal marriage will have on America.
