It’s an immense merger, to say the least: He’s a hip-hop legend, as well as the owner of a successful record label (Roc-a-Fella), a chain of hot nightclubs, and part of an NBA franchise (the New Jersey Nets), too; she’s a powerhouse vocalist, fashion designer (her House of Deréon clothing line launched in 2005) and now, sought-after actress (see her star turn in the Oscar-winning Dreamgirls).

Their biggest feat to date, though, is keeping their relationship out of the spotlight, despite the constant “are-they-or-aren’t-they” speculation. But puhleeze, it’s plain to see that these two artists are crazy in love. They constantly slip playful references to each other into their music: Take their best-known anthem,  “’03 Bonnie and Clyde,” when he calls her on her Sex and the City habit, rhyming, “She gets Carrie fever, but soon as the show’s over, she’s right back to being my soldier.” Translation for hip-hop novices: She’s his best friend.
