Creative powerhouses Cynthia Rowley and Bill Powers are both at the top of their games: she, as a fashion designer with a forthcoming home line, perhaps inspired by her turn as a judge on HGTV’s Design Star; he, as a former editor in chief of BlackBook magazine who’s now a novelist (his debut work, Tall Island, showed up on many a “hot list”).

But besides a relationship that gracefully accommodates two bursting-at-the-seams careers (this year, Rowley also published her first solo book, Slim: A Fantasy Memoir, a whimsical illustrated tale of her rise to the top), what sets this duo apart is their insistence on finding time to play. The couple—who got engaged at India’s legendary temple of love, the Taj Mahal—is clearly young at heart, and equally likely to turn up together at a Manhattan hot spot as the local Baskin Robbins with daughters, Kit and Gigi, in tow. And, rather than plan a jet-setter’s honeymoon after their 2005 nuptials, RowPow headed to Typhoon Lagoon water park at Disney World, inviting their wedding guests along to make a splash!

Typhoon Lagoon II: The couple must have had quite a honeymoon, as they returned to the Disney park this year to celebrate Powers’ 40th—but this time, Rowley rented out the entire 56-acre water park for her husband’s private birthday bash.
